L. I. F. E. DEVELOPMENT COURSES
Our adult discipleship offerings are divided
into different types of courses that make up the LIFE Development
Curriculum. These include what could be called "growth groups"
as well as some new things that will appeal to a variety of different
needs and life stages. Some of these courses are for those who
are just beginning to investigate the faith, and some are for
those who are wanting a deeper experience. Some are for those
who are currently going through a life crisis or a transition,
and some are enrichment classes.
Here is a general list of the support groups
and courses that are offered from time to time through our church:
- Life Support Groups. These groups are for those who are currently going
through a life transition. Currently, DivorceCare,
DivorceCare for Kids,
GriefShare and Celebrate Recovery:
Hurts, Habits and Hang-ups are offered on Monday nights
from 6:30-8:30pm. Nursery is available upon request for ages
birth thru 5 yrs old.
- LifeShapes Seminar - LifeShapes:
Toward a Passionate Life. Class members will learn what
it means to be a true disciple and by using easy to recall shapes,
you will learn to apply those steps to every situation and relationship
in your life. This seminar will be offered twice each year during
the Fall and Winter semesters. Class size is limited so sign
up early.
- LifeTrack Classes. Life Track are the traditional growth and enrichment
classes. Areas often include: Bible book studies, Marriage and
Parenting, Budget and Finances, Men's and Women's Studies, Evangelism
and Personal Witnessing, Relationships and Dating, and Theology
and Other Faiths.
- LifeTogether
Groups. These are community based-host home groups that
offer opportunities for deepening relationships between people
seeking to discover what God made them for and how to turn that
dream into everyday reality. If you would like to host a home
group, contact Rod Kerr at the church office.
- Friendship First Groups - Friendship
First groups are unique home-based groups sponsored by
some of our Sunday morning Bible-in-Life Fellowship Groups. It
is a flexible, friendly engaging series for small grup interaction
that compares our friendships with others to our friendship with
God. Contact Rod Kerr at the church office for more information
or a current schedule.
- LifeKeys Workshops - LifeKeys:
Discover Who You Are is a powerful workshop to help you
uncover and understand your talents, spiritual, gifts, passions,
values and personality - all that God made you to be. Because
LifeKeys helps you to discover yourself with new and deeper meaning,
some previous participants have improved self-awareness, increased
ability to recognize and deal with sources of stress, better
marriage and family communications, discovered new gifts and
talents, and recharged spiritually and rekindled joy. Workshops
are offered Fall and Spring semesters.
- Classes are open to anyone in the community
and scholarships are available for the purchase of class materials.
